Kaylee Time: Trying to Escape

We have a gate on her door so that she can't get out of her room and go to the kitchen or living room without me waking up in the mornings since she sleeps with her crib as the toddler bed. She doesn't like when she gets put into her room when she's not ready to sleep or need her to stay in one spot so we can do something.
The time of the picture was when i was trying to get her to sleep. She wanted out so she dragged her play kitchen over to the gate so that she could climb up it and try and get over it. she got too scared and ended up calling out for me. One foot over the gate while the other was still on the kitchen so that she wouldn't fall. She's tried to do this a few other times, but i've gotten a bit better at hearing her dragging the kitchen over that i can catch her before she starts. or i leave the kitchen knocked over since she can't lift it.

Wouldn't have this problem if she wasn't so big for her age lol. she climbs over everything. can't keep her in the living room very well since she climbs over the couch to get over the banister to get out of the living room.

Look What I Found: Wonka Vending Machine

I didn't get anything out of it because of time and cost, but i thought this was amazing. It was touch screen, lots of different candies. it was pretty much a way to buy some of it in bulk. Not sure if it's even still there since i don't go to the mall that often, and when i do not this mall that much. But if i run into one of these again, i so want to buy something just to say i've used it lol

Food Chat: Papa Murphy's Pumpkin Pizza

I'm still a little kid at heart when it comes to things like this. I know it's just a pizza that is shaped differently, but just to have something special on a holiday is great. It's like how i love october and november because of all the pumpkin things. And i like halloween stuff. I just can't wait for when Kaylee can get excited over things like this with me.

Oh The People I See: What sign?

On the way to the mall to take Kaylee trick or treated, we were going to have to drive by this guy. I first noticed him and being like "oh another sign guy", we have a lot of them in Portland. Then i looked at him more and realized he had no sign....yet he stood there as if he had a sign. He stood like how this picture is as we drove by him, and he even gave us a look as if we were the crazy ones. My mom and I just busted out laughing once we drove by him. He also had a dog with him.
Not sure what he was thinking. Whether it was doing it to see what happened and knew he had no sign, or he thought he had a sign but never really did....kinda like the king and the invisible robes.

Kaylee Time: Halloween

So little late on this post, i'm just really backed up on the pictures i want to get posted.

Anyways, my daughter, Kaylee, wanted to be a pirate for halloween, so this was her outfit, minus the spoon. She likes to play with spoons. Hard to see in the first picture, but she's also holding a little sword.

The outfit came with a little hat for her to wear, but her hair is too fluffy for it to stay on, though she also doesn't like wearing hats too much. For the sword, we couldn't find anything small enough for her until we went to spirit. We found the sword...Only thing was that it came with a garter and was $10. I still have the garter somewhere, room is a mess and i lose a lot of things, and $10 was over half what we paid for the actual outfit. I almost went with a little panda outfit, to stick with an animal theme i had going from the first two halloweens, but my mom didn't want to spend the money on it. I couldn't go too fancy on the costume, like a princess, because she just would of tore it up. It was hard finding something really good anyways because of cost and her size. She's only 2.5ish in the picture and we had to look for size 4 costumes/clothes for her.

Anyways, here's a few other pictures from her trick or treating.
 Better picture of the sword
Took her trick or treating at the mall. had her wear her backpack leash so that she wouldn't run off....which she tried multiple times.
Interesting pumpkin that was at the mall
her loot. didn't get too much since we only went to the mall and it was PACKED.

Food Chat: Hershey's Kisses Pumpkin Spice

I'm already a lover of pumpkin things, so finding this was a must to try. I still have some to eat, i haven't been sweet snacking like i use to. I was almost scared to try these, not sure why probably just because it was new. Once i finally tried one, it was like eating a little really sweet pumpkin pie.
I like the way the foil looks on it, just my mom ended up giving me one of her caramel ones that had the same wrapper just different paper tag thing. So i almost couldn't find the caramel one among these ones.

Food Chat: Pearl organic soymilk coffee flavored

I had this at one point because i wanted to try it because of it being coffee flavored and i kinda like soymilk. I found this to be AMAZING! Only thing i was disappointed in it was that i had a hard time finding it again after trying it.....well also that there isn't nearly enough in one box that i want lol. As much as i could remember to look for this each time i went by the soymilk section, i just could never find it, not even at the same place i first bought it. But then magically one day, i found it! and they still have it since the last time i looked. I don't think this would be good to put into coffee, i think i tried and didn't like it, but it's great just drinking it on it's own.

For some reason i thought it was funny when i realized this is by the same makers that make soy sauce. No idea why it was funny since both products are soy....maybe just because one is a drink and the other isn't.

Craft Time: Penguin Painting

Painted myself a little penguin! i love painting things like this. I'm not 100% on the blue eyes, thought it would be a good idea but after doing it, not completely liking it.
I have lots of little hobby things like this that i just don't get a lot of time to do them :(

Well here's some before pictures

Food Chat: Haunted Cookie House

I love making these houses and was super excited to see a halloween one. I just wish i was better at them lol.

So that first picture is the best side of what i did lol. The house was already pre-built, so any of the huge amount of frosting between the pieces wasn't done by me. Though i do love how smooth i got the purple on the roof :)

If i had more things for decorating, i could of done a lot better. like if i had white i would of dome white winders with black lining. I don't have a picture of the box, but on the box it showed green grass looking thing so i thouht maybe something like that was included...nope. turns out it was just a helpful tip of coloring coconut green. So i gave a orange yard with gold rocks lol. I don't know, i kinda half assed the last bit because i was hurrying because my daughter wanted to come out of the living room to help me. Next few pictures are the other sides of the house(i tried to do a spider web design but failed lol) and what i let kaylee do since i didn't let her really help on the house....though she still put in something to it.

 before starting

 what kaylee made
what she added to it.

Food Chat: Hot chocolate Coffee

So i went to a restaurant before and when looking at the drinks i saw that they had a trying that was half coffee and half hot cocoa. I like both of them, so i thought i'd try it. I think i feel in love after first sip.

It is such a basic idea too. just mix them together and you get that creamy cocoa taste with the lovely taste of coffee added, and caffeine boost for those caffeine does more for them lol. And of course you can't forget the lovely whipped cream.

I do like this drink and it's not hard to make....i just am sometimes sooo lazy i'd rather just pour some coffee into the cup and call it good(after my coffee add-ons lol).  I would tell people to try this if they like both those drinks. You could measure to try and make sure you have exactly half of each, or just eyeball it and see what you get. I mostly eyeball it.

Food Chat: Pumpkin Pie Latte

In one of my halloween recipe magazines, i saw this one for a pumpkin pie latte, sounded amazing. And it was!.

I loved it, i just like chugged it while drinking it. It has some coffee in it but not over powering compared to the pumpkin taste. I really did feel like i was drinking a pumpkin pie.

if i didn't have to use the blender for part of it, i would make this probably every day, or even multiple times a day. i just don't like having to clean the blender so i rarely use it.

Here's what it looked like without the whipped cream

And for some reason, our can opener didn't want to open the can of pumpkin.....so i just attacked it until i got it opened lol

Food Chat: Foot Meatloaf

So from one of my halloween magazines, there was this foot meatloaf. i've been wanting to try it for a few years i think. Well we finally made it. i mostly just shaped it, didn't actually follow the recipe for the meatloaf. My mom makes good meatloaf, so we went with that one while i shaped it. After it was cooked, you just add some ketchup to make it look bloody lol.

This was fun to do. Just would of been better if more than just me was excited over it.

Here's a picture of it before it was cooked.

Kaylee Time: Making Pizzas

So my daughter has been getting real into wanting to help with cooking. She's always asking me to stir things. She'll even grab a wooden spoon and sit at the table and go "Stir. Egg. Stir." I usually don't always have something she can actually help with so she usually walks off pouting.

Anyways, so one day i finally decided to take the time to make pizzas with her. It was from a pizza kit that i had bought. I thought i had a picture of it before using it, but i can't seem to find it. The kit had premade and shaped dough, sauce pouches, cheese, and pepperoni.

I let Kaylee put on her sauce. She liked the brush to just paint it on. I liked it because was a little better than dealing with a spoon.

Then she got to add her cheese. Though she tried to paint the sauce back on it after the cheese.

Cleaning the table while cooking the pizzas.

I made one of the pizzas myself and added pepperoni. Kaylee doesn't like pepperoni, but since she saw me do it, she wanted one on hers.

It was over all fun to make the pizza with her. Just too bad she doesn't always want to eat. I ended up eating her's because she wouldn't.
I was surprised just how good these were. I normally don't like crust, but this crust was so good. I need to buy this again sometime. I remember what the box looks like and that i got it at walmart.

Food Chat: Peppermint Whipped Cream

So my mom surprised me with this today. I've never seen a peppermint one before, so i was really excited about it.

I didn't know what to have it on, so i just made some hot cocoa and put it on that. Of course the first thing that i had to do was lick the whip cream. I felt like in heaven after that.

I am already a big peppermint fan, but this really was really good. The two ways I'd describe it would be 1. creamy candy cane and 2. Christmas in a can. The peppermint wasn't too strong but was just enough to know it was there.

Too bad most stuff i have to use it on is pumpkin stuff lol. So i might just eat this on it's one from time to time unless someone gets to it before me. I hope to get more of this when i get the chance.

Shopping: Mom Necklace

I feel like i could of picked a better first post to talk about. But i wanted to write any review things like right after or while i'm with the product. so i figured starting off with a shopping thing is just fine too :)

So this was one of the things i bought on my shopping trip a few days ago. There are a few antique shops in my town and i finally got to go into them. While in one of them i was looking through a $.25 box and found this "mom" charm. I figured for $.25 that it was work just buying the charm. I already knew i had a chain i could put the charm on, i got the chain from my mom years ago.

I had been wanting a "mom" necklace since having my daughter. Well now i finally get to have one any only spent $.25 on it :)

I still wouldn't mind one of the fancier ones with the birthstones and such. but this one is just fine for now :)
